Electric PVC Pipe for Exterior Wiring and Panel Ducting: How Conduit, Trunking and Open Slot Wire Duct Work as One System
The words in an enquiry decide which of three products ships. Electric PVC pipe is the rigid round tube that carries a cable; electrical trunking is the rectangular channel with a snap-on lid that runs along a finished wall; an open slot wire duct is the slotted channel inside a control panel, guiding wires to breakers.
Search boxes blur the difference: the same buyer may type pvc electric, pvc condute or pvc trunking and mean one item. So specify by answering one question first — where does the cable run: soil, exterior wall, finished room or panel interior. That answer picks the product; size comes after.
PVC conduit underground is the heaviest duty of the family. Buried duct banks between buildings, ducts cast into slabs and block walls, and risers climbing out of the ground all use the same rigid tube in 20mm to 63mm diameters, jointed with solvent cement into a continuous bore a draw rope can pull through.

Conduit for exterior wiring faces sunlight, rain and thermal movement. Exposed runs on walls, roof lines, gate motors and outdoor lighting call for a UV-stabilized compound, an expansion allowance at each joint, clips and waterproof boxes at every fitting — coastal salt kills steel fast.
Indoors, PVC trunking takes over. In offices, warehouses and plant rooms a compartmented profile with a snap-on cover keeps power and data apart, and later changes are a matter of lifting the lid. Sizes run from about 16x16mm to 100x50mm, with couplers, angles, tees and end caps in the same range.

Inside the panel sits the open slot wire duct: it lets a wire leave at any point along the run, with a cover that snaps back for a tidy finish. Trunking and wire duct are made in the same plant as the conduit, so tolerances and colours match when the job ships together.
G AND N FORTUNE LIMITED has spent 20 years exporting these systems, running 35 extrusion lines for conduit and trunking and 55 injection molding machines for covers, angles, tees and junction boxes. Production follows British Standard (BS) requirements, with shipments to Nigeria, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Malta and Thailand.
A complete enquiry states the diameter and wall thickness, socket or plain end, whether the run is buried or exposed and needs UV-grade material, the trunking size, and the wire duct width and slot pitch. Add ten percent extra fittings, then ask G AND N FORTUNE LIMITED for samples, drawings and one packing list, backed by 20 years of exports and British Standard certification.
